Privacy Policy
Xavior Study is built so your academic data stays yours. This policy explains what the app and our services do and don't collect. Plain language, no surprises.
What stays on your device
Your courses, syllabi, grades, study sessions, flashcards, and projections live in your browser or app on your device (local storage). We do not upload them to a server, and we cannot see them. Clearing the app's data or removing the app deletes them.
What the AI features send
The AI add-on is optional. When you use it (the tutor, quizzes, flashcard generation, study plans, or scanning a test or photo), the specific content needed for that request is sent to our AI proxy and on to our model provider, Anthropic, to generate a response. We pass requests through; we do not retain the content of your AI requests beyond what is needed to serve them and meter usage.
If you bring your own model key instead, those requests go directly from your device to the provider and do not pass through us at all.
License and usage
When you activate a license, we validate the key with our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy, and record aggregate AI usage (token counts) per license so we can meter the managed-AI tier. This is a count, not the content of your requests.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. They process your payment and, where applicable, sales tax. We do not see or store your card details. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy governs that transaction.
Accounts and identity
Xavior Study does not require a real name, email login, or school account to use. It is pseudonymous by design. A license key is the only identifier tied to the paid features.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't use your grades or coursework to train models.
- We don't show third-party ads or share your data with advertisers.
Service providers
- Anthropic — AI model inference for the add-on.
- Lemon Squeezy — payments and license validation.
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
Children
Xavior Study is intended for students of high-school age and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
